back to normal

My blogging was momentarily interrupted by the need to clean up in preparation for my husband’s week-long leave from work (just so we can trash the house again for the entire week). I felt different as I was cleaning. – Different from how I felt a month ago. I did not go into the details of my dilemma, but last month I was down, sad, somewhat uninterested, disappointed. I even lost my appetite for shopping for our household needs, imagine that? – Today I was feeling hopeful and settled. As I cleaned the house, I did not feel like I’m about to leave it. And began thinking of stuff to buy again. ;p

The living room and the kitchen in our apartment is separated by what I would consider a breakfast bar (had it not been built too high for the average Asian) and while I was dusting and reorganizing that area (it’s a display area), my mind wandered and I imagined using it as it was intended. But we’re going to need bar stools. We do have one made of wood; it needs a partner or two more friends. So I went back to the computer and searched for similar Wood Bar Stools. I went to the aptly named The Bar Stools Store (dot com); unfortunately, I didn’t find anything close to the one we have; probably because it’s too simple. Out of the numerous, well-crafted Metal Bar Stools, this one (right photo) caught my attention. I fancy the sleek design and the color contrast. It also looks very comfortable with those armrests.
With the store’s vast selection, you’re bound to love at least one design. But if that’s not the case, the store offers full customization, you can change the height, the fabric and the metal or wood finishes to your liking. There’s an ongoing sale and this particular bar stool is 34% off, plus an additional 15% discount at checkout, no sales tax and free shipping.
