Blue face & Eco drive

I have this weird fondness for watches with a “midnight blue face” (I call it that, whether it is or not); maybe because the first watch that I ever bought for myself has that.

This one in the picture is a Citizen eco drive ladies watch. It runs on solar energy so there’s no need to worry about replacing the batteries when they run out of power. That’s the reason my husband bought one of these watches for his mom on Mother’s Day. She has this favorite watch that she ever so patiently takes back to the mall for battery replacement, which is kind of impractical considering the original price of her watch. So my husband hoped she could “retire” that watch and make the Eco-Drive her new fave.
